Tara Supports JobStart

Posted On: June 1, 2021

As part of its investment in the community and desire to expand across the region Tara Support Services Ltd has started the process of recruiting trainee hygiene solution technicians under JobStart which is a new scheme run by the NI Department for Communities, to help young people who are at risk of long term unemployment, aged 16 – 24 years, get into the job market by offering them six-month job opportunities with a range of employers, in all sectors across Northern Ireland.

The roles will give the trainees the skills needed to test, treat & track any environment in respect of visible and hidden hygiene risks and include certified process training with some of the industry’s biggest suppliers.

It helps develop employment skills so that by the end of the six months those qualified may have the skills and experience to help in the world of work or for them to identify a career path by progressing with the company into further education or training.

During the JobStart scheme trainees receive the living wage for 35 hours per week which is designed to reflect the importance Tara places on these new roles.  The initial cost is co-funded by the Department & Tara Support and includes any training needed along with other costs such as any uniforms or Personal Protective Equipment.

For more information about the roles available those interested should talk to their Work Coach or direct to the JobStart scheme via their email jobstart.scheme@communities-ni.gov.uk.
